Splendor Boats’ story truly begins earlier than 1972 – in 1959, Doyle Heckaman began his career in fiberglass, which would lay the foundation for his future innovations.

Twenty years later he opened his own fiberglass company and in 1980 created Splendor’s proprietary catamaran hull design still being used in our boats today.

In 2007, the current leadership (Doyle’s grandchildren) purchased the business and are proud to be a third-generation family business.

The constant flow of air through the tunnel is one of the attributes that allows Splendor boats to eliminate the pounding other boats experience in rough waters.
